We are doing it for dolly! Wearing Blue for a Brighter Future

Tuesday 7th Apr

As parents, caregivers, and working mums and dads, we wear many hats every single day.

We juggle responsibilities, meet deadlines, support our families, and do our best to raise kind, resilient children in a fast-moving world. But among all of life’s demands, there is one responsibility that sits close to all our hearts the wellbeing of our kids.

This is why we proudly stand behind Do It for Dolly.

Across Australia, communities are coming together to raise awareness about youth mental health and the lasting impact of bullying. By simply wearing blue, we are sending a powerful message: kindness matters, support matters, and no child should feel alone.

For our generation of parents, this message hits deeply. We understand the pressures kids face today from social media, school environments, and the challenges of growing up in an increasingly connected world. Many of us didn’t grow up with these same pressures, but we see them now, and we feel a responsibility to do better, to be better, and to stand up for our children.

Wearing blue is more than just a symbolic act. It’s a commitment.

It’s a commitment to start conversations at home asking our kids not just how their day was, but how they felt.
It’s a commitment to listen without judgment, to create safe spaces where our children feel heard and supported.
It’s a commitment to lead by example, showing empathy, kindness, and strength in how we treat others.

As working parents, we know time is limited and life is busy. But awareness doesn’t require perfection it requires presence. Even small actions can make a big difference in a child’s life.

By participating in Do It for Dolly and wearing blue, we stand united with families, schools, and communities across the country.

Together, we raise awareness, encourage compassion, and remind every young person that their life is valuable and their voice matters.

Let’s continue to show up for our kids, for each other, and for a future where kindness is the norm, not the exception.

Wear blue. Start the conversation. Be the difference.

Because every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and seen.
